The Guitar

This is a 1990s Schecter Japan Projected by USA HSS Electric Guitar, finished in a stunning transparent Purple with a figured quilted maple top.

Schecter guitars from this era have developed a strong following among players who appreciate high-quality Japanese craftsmanship, premium woods and performance-focused designs. The Projected by USA branding reflects the connection to Schecter's American design direction during this period, making these Japanese-built instruments particularly interesting alternatives to the more familiar American superstrats of the 1990s.

The quilted maple top looks fantastic beneath the purple transparent finish, showing off the natural figuring of the wood and giving the guitar a distinctive high-end appearance. Combined with its contoured double-cutaway body, this is a guitar built for comfortable playing and easy access across the fingerboard.

The HSS pickup configuration offers plenty of versatility, pairing a bridge humbucker for powerful, punchy overdrive with two single-coil pickups for cleaner, more articulate tones. Whether you're after shimmering cleans, classic rock crunch or high-gain lead sounds, this configuration provides a broad range of usable tones.

The Floyd Rose locking tremolo system adds another dimension to the guitar, allowing expressive vibrato, dive bombs and more aggressive tremolo techniques while helping maintain tuning stability when correctly set up.

With its striking purple quilted top, Japanese construction and classic 1990s performance-guitar specification, this Schecter is a great choice for players looking for something a little more unusual than the typical superstrat.
