The Guitar
This is a Burns Club Series Double Six 12-String Electric Guitar, finished in Red Burst.
Originally introduced in the 1960s, the Burns Double Six has become a distinctive alternative to the more familiar 12-string electric designs, combining vintage British styling with a comfortable body shape and a wonderfully jangly, chiming tone.
The Club Series reissue brings this classic design back in a more accessible format, featuring a solid basswood body and a bolt-on hard rock maple neck. The Red Burst finish looks fantastic, complemented by the classic Burns headstock, contrasting pickguard and chrome hardware.
The real magic comes from the trio of Burns Deluxe Tri-Sonic pickups, delivering plenty of sparkle, clarity and definition. With six pairs of strings creating that unmistakable 12-string shimmer, the Double Six is perfect for jangly rhythm parts, chiming arpeggios and those wonderfully full-sounding open chords.
The five-way pickup selector provides a range of tonal combinations, while the additional push-pull switching expands the available sounds even further. The individually adjustable bridge saddles also make setting up the 12 strings and achieving accurate intonation much more straightforward.
With its generous neck width, distinctive retro styling and unmistakable vintage-inspired sound, the Burns Double Six is a great choice for anyone looking for something a little different from the usual 12-string electric guitar.
