The Guitar
The Fender Hot Rodded Series Texas Special Stratocaster takes everything players love about the traditional Stratocaster and gives it an extra dose of attitude and punch.
Finished in beautiful Sienna Sunburst, this 2000 example has a classic Fender look, complemented by a maple fingerboard. The Hot Rodded Series was designed for players looking for a more powerful take on the familiar Stratocaster formula, while retaining the versatility and character that have made the model such an enduring favourite.
Loaded with three Fender Texas Special single-coil pickups, this Strat delivers plenty of character. Compared with a more traditional vintage-output Strat pickup, the Texas Specials offer increased output, a stronger midrange presence and plenty of bite. They retain the familiar Stratocaster sparkle and clarity, but have the extra punch to handle blues, classic rock and more driven tones with ease.
The traditional SSS configuration and five-way selector provide a broad range of sounds, from bright, glassy cleans to the distinctive out-of-phase-style sounds in positions two and four, through to full and punchy bridge tones.
A great-looking USA Fender with a sought-after pickup configuration, combining classic Stratocaster versatility with a little extra firepower.
