The Guitar
This is an original 1974 Fender USA Stratocaster, finished in the classic 3-Tone Sunburst with a rosewood fingerboard.
The 1970s Stratocaster has become an increasingly popular choice among vintage Fender enthusiasts, offering a distinctive combination of classic Stratocaster tone, unmistakable CBS-era styling and authentic vintage character. With its large headstock, three-bolt neck construction and traditional double-cutaway body, the 1974 model represents a particularly interesting period in Fender's history.
The solid alder body delivers the familiar balanced Stratocaster sound, with plenty of clarity, resonance and sustain. The maple neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a comfortable playing feel, while the traditional trio of single-coil pickups offers the unmistakable tones that have made the Stratocaster one of the most versatile electric guitars ever produced.
From sparkling clean tones and bluesy overdrive to classic rock rhythm and lead sounds, this is a guitar that covers an enormous amount of musical ground.
Finished in 3-Tone Sunburst, the guitar has all the visual appeal you'd expect from a vintage Fender, complemented by its rosewood fingerboard and classic 1970s styling.
This example has had a replacement pickguard fitted and the volume potentiometer replaced. It is also supplied with a non-original hard case.
A fantastic opportunity to own an original 1970s American Fender Stratocaster, with plenty of vintage character and that unmistakable Stratocaster sound.
