The Guitar

This is a 1969-70 Gibson ES335TD Orange Label, finished in a lovely Vintage Sunburst.

So this one is pretty interesting for a few reasons. Firstly its a crossover year from 69 to 70. Its got the orange label which is stopped in 69/70 and changed to the one we see through most of the 70s.

The model number is clear to see on the label but the serial is faded but the last 2 numbers are 67 but the serial on the guitar doesnt match that. So its possible the body was made is 69 to 60s spec and then they put the new necks with the bigger headstock, 70s volute and made in USA stamp on the back of the neck. Interesting. Its not a re-neck.

It got a set of 60s Pat Number Grover Tuners on it and a set of 60s looking knobs too.
